In May 2012 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Paintings, which included the work Beggars by Abram Arkhipov. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 205,250.00 (€ 255,732.47), 71% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Abram Arkhipov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Peasant Woman In A Red Dress in December 2015 with an auction result of GBP 905,000.00 (€ 1,228,946.50).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 71 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2012 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Beggars von Abram Arkhipov zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 205.250,00 (€ 255.732,47) und damit 71% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Abram Arkhipov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Peasant Woman In A Red Dress im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 905.000,00 (€ 1.228.946,50).
