This artwork by Abram Arkhipov achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2006. In the Important Russian Pictures auction, the work At The Market sold for GBP 512,000.00 (€ 760,336.02) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 200,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Abram Arkhipov; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Peasant Woman In A Red Dress sold at auction in December 2015 with the realized price of GBP 905,000.00 (€ 1,228,946.50).
