This work of art by Abraham Willaerts could be acquired at Christies in London in December 2002 for an unexpectedly low price. In the OLD MASTER PICTURES AND DRAWINGS auction, the work A coastal landscape with fish sellers by a beached boat, a village beyond changed hands for GBP 5,875.00 (€ 9,018.42) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Abraham Willaerts achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ships Moored Off A Rocky Coastline With Fishermen Unloading Their Catch in April 2013 with an auction result of GBP 86,500.00 (€ 102,074.99).
