Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Abraham Walkowitz could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in April 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction, the work A Group Of Twenty-Nine Drawings changed hands for USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,322.45) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Abraham Walkowitz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cityscape in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 75,000.00 (€ 67,270.61).
