In the Old Master & British Drawings Including Works from the Collection of Jean Bonna auction, the work An old woman reading (recto), Figure studies (verso) sold for USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,451.28) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,500.00. Admittedly, works by Abraham van Dijck have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of A Lady, Half-Length, In A Black Dress And Red Shawl, Holding A Flower in December 2007 with an auction result of GBP 54,500.00 (€ 74,056.26).
