This artwork by Abraham van Beyeren achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in October last year. In the Made in Holland auction, the work Various sailing vessels and a rowing boat with fishermen on choppy waters under a stormy sky sold for EUR 32,760.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Abraham van Beyeren - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still Life With Wine Glasses, which sold at auction in January 2007 for USD 144,000.00 (€ 110,786.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Abraham van Beyeren erzielte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Made in Holland wurde die Arbeit Various sailing vessels and a rowing boat with fishermen on choppy waters under a stormy sky für EUR 32.760,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Abraham van Beyeren mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still Life With Wine Glasses beobachtet, die im Januar 2007 für USD 144.000,00 (€ 110.786,27) versteigert wurde.
