Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Progressão 21-A by Abraham Palatnik was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2011. The price achieved of USD 62,500.00 (€ 46,458.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Abraham Palatnik achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sequencia Visual S-51 in November 2013 with an auction result of USD 785,000.00 (€ 576,951.34).

Die Arbeit Progressão 21-A von Abraham Palatnik kam im November 2011 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 46.458,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Abraham Palatnik erzielen.
