Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary African Art, which included the work Market Scene II by Ablade Glover. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 9,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 10,080.00 (€ 11,942.08). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ablade Glover - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work People, which sold at auction in October 2019 for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,898.03).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary African Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Market Scene II von Ablade Glover zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 9.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 10.080,00 (€ 11.942,08) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Ablade Glover mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit People beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 31.898,03) versteigert wurde.
