Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Israeli & International Art, which included the work "... His Master'S Wife Cast Her Eyes Upon Joseph ..." (Genesis 39:7) by Abel Pann. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,125.00 (€ 6,714.32) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Abel Pann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Geschwister in Winterlandschaft in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 93,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Israeli & International Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit "... His Master'S Wife Cast Her Eyes Upon Joseph ..." (Genesis 39:7) von Abel Pann zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 6.714,32) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Abel Pann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Geschwister in Winterlandschaft im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 93.750,00.
