Auction result well in line with expectations
The work “And Abraham Stretched Forth His Hand, And Took The Knife To Slay His Son” (Genesis 22:10) by Abel Pann was sold in the Israeli & International Art auction at Sothebys in New York in December 2016. The price achieved of USD 31,250.00 (€ 29,615.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Abel Pann - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Geschwister in Winterlandschaft, which sold at auction in June 2021 for EUR 93,750.00.

Die Arbeit “And Abraham Stretched Forth His Hand, And Took The Knife To Slay His Son” (Genesis 22:10) von Abel Pann wurde im Dezember 2016 in der Auktion Israeli & International Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 31.250,00 (€ 29.615,24) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Abel Pann mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Geschwister in Winterlandschaft beobachtet, die im Juni 2021 für EUR 93.750,00 versteigert wurde.
