Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art, which included the work Udaipur Landscape by Abdulrahim Apabhai Almelkar. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 17,500.00 (€ 12,702.33) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Abdulrahim Apabhai Almelkar have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2015 the work Udaipur Landscape was auctioned for USD 17,500.00 (€ 16,292.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Udaipur Landscape von Abdulrahim Apabhai Almelkar zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 12.702,33) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Abdulrahim Apabhai Almelkar konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März 2015 die Arbeit Udaipur Landscape für USD 17.500,00 (€ 16.292,71) versteigert.
