In March 2021 Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Online, which included the work Untitled (Saban And Ramjar) by Abdulrahim Apabhai Almelkar. The auction ended at the price of USD 3,000.00 (€ 2,554.71), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Abdulrahim Apabhai Almelkar have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Udaipur Landscape in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 17,500.00 (€ 16,292.71).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im März 2021 führte Christies in New York die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Saban And Ramjar) von Abdulrahim Apabhai Almelkar zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 3.000,00 (€ 2.554,71) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Abdulrahim Apabhai Almelkar auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Udaipur Landscape im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 16.292,71).
