In the Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art auction, the work Untitled (To the Market) sold for USD 6,300.00 (€ 5,364.90) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Abdulrahim Apabhai Almelkar - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Udaipur Landscape, which sold at auction in March 2015 for USD 17,500.00 (€ 16,292.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Abdulrahim Apabhai Almelkar erzielte im März 2021 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Untitled (To the Market) für USD 6.300,00 (€ 5.364,90) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Abdulrahim Apabhai Almelkar mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Udaipur Landscape beobachtet, die im März 2015 für USD 17.500,00 (€ 16.292,71) versteigert wurde.
