Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2020 Christies in New York held the auction A Lasting Engagement: The Jane and Kito de Boer Collection Online, which included the work Untitled (Sir Pherozshah Mehta Road in the Monsoon) by Abdulrahim Apabhai Almelkar. The price achieved of USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,413.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Abdulrahim Apabhai Almelkar have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Udaipur Landscape in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 17,500.00 (€ 16,292.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion A Lasting Engagement: The Jane and Kito de Boer Collection Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Sir Pherozshah Mehta Road in the Monsoon) von Abdulrahim Apabhai Almelkar zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.000,00 (€ 3.413,55) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Abdulrahim Apabhai Almelkar auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Udaipur Landscape im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 16.292,71).
