In September 2016 Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included the work How I See the World by Abdullah Qandeel. The result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,898.38) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Abdullah Qandeel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Race in April 2015 with an auction result of USD 274,000.00 (€ 245,475.72).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im September 2016 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit How I See the World von Abdullah Qandeel zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.898,38) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Abdullah Qandeel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Race im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 274.000,00 (€ 245.475,72).
