Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2015 Christies in London held the auction Posters, which included the work Nord Express by Adolphe Mouron Cassandre. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 12,463.08) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adolphe Mouron Cassandre - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work GRANDE QUINZAINE INTERNATIONALE DE LAWN-TENNIS, which sold at auction in June 2015 for GBP 30,000.00 (€ 42,299.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2015 führte Christies in London die Auktion Posters durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nord Express von Adolphe Mouron Cassandre zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 12.463,08) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Adolphe Mouron Cassandre mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit GRANDE QUINZAINE INTERNATIONALE DE LAWN-TENNIS beobachtet, die im Juni 2015 für GBP 30.000,00 (€ 42.299,62) versteigert wurde.
