Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Étoile Du Nord by Adolphe Mouron Cassandre was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 7,000.00 – 9,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 8,902.20). Admittedly, works by Adolphe Mouron Cassandre have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work GRANDE QUINZAINE INTERNATIONALE DE LAWN-TENNIS in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 42,299.62).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Étoile Du Nord von Adolphe Mouron Cassandre im November 2015 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 6.250,00 (€ 8.902,20) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Adolphe Mouron Cassandre auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit GRANDE QUINZAINE INTERNATIONALE DE LAWN-TENNIS im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 42.299,62).
