Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2002 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work Portrait of a seated young lady reading a book by A. L. Grace. The price achieved of GBP 352.50 (€ 557.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Admittedly, works by A. L. Grace have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Chelsea pensioners band practice in March 2004 with an auction result of GBP 2,151.00 (€ 3,219.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of a seated young lady reading a book von A. L. Grace zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 352,50 (€ 557,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von A. L. Grace auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Chelsea pensioners band practice im März 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.151,00 (€ 3.219,85).
