Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2004 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures, which included the work Teatime by A. L. Grace. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 700.00 – 900.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 717.00 (€ 1,061.17) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by A. L. Grace - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Chelsea pensioners band practice, which sold at auction in March 2004 for GBP 2,151.00 (€ 3,219.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Teatime von A. L. Grace zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 700,00 – 900,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 717,00 (€ 1.061,17) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von A. L. Grace mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Chelsea pensioners band practice beobachtet, die im März 2004 für GBP 2.151,00 (€ 3.219,85) versteigert wurde.
