Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Spirit Of The Bee-Hive by A. Duncan Carse was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art auction at Sothebys in New York in October 2013. The price achieved of USD 5,938.00 (€ 4,368.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by A. Duncan Carse achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Skiing in the Alps in November 2018 with an auction result of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 56,398.48).

Die Arbeit Spirit Of The Bee-Hive von A. Duncan Carse wurde im Oktober 2013 in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.938,00 (€ 4.368,10) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von A. Duncan Carse erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Skiing in the Alps im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 50.000,00 (€ 56.398,48).
