The goal of having a maximum of 50 galleries participate could probably not quite be met due to the diverse, high-caliber selection: 52 galleries determine the content of Gallery Weekend in Berlin in 2022. Visitors can get an impression of young and established artistic positions in the districts of Mitte, Schöneberg, Kreuzberg and Charlottenburg from April 29 to May 1. In addition, numerous museum exhibitions and private collections will open. The art event thus combines gallery spaces and urban space.

Since the first Gallery Weekend in 2005, it has developed into an internationally renowned art event. Young galleries also get a special opportunity to present themselves here. Among the artists exhibiting are international greats such as Günther Förg, Ai Weiwei, Meret Oppenheim, Horst Antes, Michel Majerus, Sterling Ruby, Louis Fratino, Bruce Nauman, Xenia Hausner, and Sarah Lucas.

Parallel to the Gallery Weekend, Paper Positions Berlin has already been taking place since yesterday.Art.Salon

Till Schermer

Is our personality just an illusion? Till Schermer's paintings open up a new perspective on the fragmented human psyche. In intense, sometimes disturbing images, the artist presents the protagonists of our mental society - perhaps the start of an adventure for one's own mind.
