Tina Buchholtz's landscapes seem like spontaneous paintings worked with sweeping movements, but in reality they are the result of weeks and months of fine processes. With deliberation and planning, her paintings are created in small-scale work with a palette knife. At the beginning of her career Buchholtz painted representationally, since the late 1990s she has moved into the realm of abstract landscapes. The interplay of colors and different surface structures determines her series of works, in each of which she explores and applies different techniques. The exhibition Tina Buchholtz: Impact can be seen from October 28 to November 17 at the ART CENTER BERLIN near the Pergamon Museum. The vernissage will take place on Friday, October 27 from 7 to 9:30 pm.
Paintings by Tina Buchholtz, who participates in the Art.Salon artist program, can be found in numerous private and public collections. These include the art collection of the German Bundestag, the SAP Walldorf collection, and private collections in Japan, China, Switzerland, Italy, and the United States.
