After only European art galleries were invited last year due to the pandemic, representatives from all over the world will once again arrive in time for the 10th edition of the Affordable Art Fair Hamburg. 40% of the galleries come from abroad, including guests from South Africa, Canada and South Korea as well as Europe. Every fifth stand, however, presents artists from Hamburg galleries. The fair, where works of art ranging in price from 100 to 7500 euros are for sale, will take place from 10 to 13 November in Hall A3 at the Hamburg exhibition centre.

»From the very beginning, it was important to me to anchor the fair firmly in Hamburg, both among art enthusiasts and in the art scene itself«, explains fair director Oliver Lähndorf. »That's why we promote the city's emerging artists and also give Hamburg galleries a lot of space. It's also important to me, especially this year, to send a positive signal with the fair and to show art that can be affordable for everyone − even in times like these.«

The retrospective 2012-2022 tells the success stories of Hamburg's emerging artists so far. Anneke Kleimann, Arnaldo Drés González, Isabell Kamp, Mika Neu, Malte Stienen, Jana Schumacher, Suse Itzel, Martin Bronsema, Felix Jung as well as Marc Einsiedel are regional artists who benefited from the art fair in the past years and will be part of the retrospective this year. For the second time, the event will also feature NFTs. On 12 November at 3 p.m., NFT expert Anna Graf will introduce the NFT scene and reveal which artists shape it.Art.Salon

Till Schermer

Is our personality just an illusion? Till Schermer's paintings open up a new perspective on the fragmented human psyche. In intense, sometimes disturbing images, the artist presents the protagonists of our mental society - perhaps the start of an adventure for one's own mind.
