Auction house supports young artists with exhibition

From January 17 to 28, 2022, the auction house Christie's presents a selection of young artists − without selling, because the presentation of the works and the conscious introduction of the new generation of artists to the art market is the focus here. The exhibition Next at Christie's: London 2022 takes place at the Duke Street Gallery in London and virtually.

January 17, 2022

Christie's is one of the largest art auction houses in the world with billions in sales. In the fine exhibition Next at Christie's: London 2022, the house shows a different side for once: about 20 young artists who live or work in London and have not yet been represented by any gallery are given the opportunity to present their works. There will be no sales; the show aims to create a relaxed atmosphere in which the focus is on content. Art students from London were also eligible to apply.

Next at Christie's: London 2022 runs from January 17 to 28, 2022 and can be visited without paying an entrance fee at the Duke Street Gallery in London. With Pia Zeitzen and Sasha Shevchenko, two young, already experienced curators could be won over, who selected the works from the point of view of the absurdity of the present. The exhibition can also be explored virtually.Art.Salon
