Spay and Koblenz, event and exhibition with Corinna Rosteck

Artistic fusions at the Rhine

Water and dance as an expression of a fragile equilibrium in painterly images: On January 21, the Kunstverein Mittelrhein in Koblenz opens the exhibition Lucent Water with videos and installations by Corinna Rosteck, an artist from the Art.Salon artist program. The evening before, the event CELLO TRIFFT KUNST takes place in nearby Spay with live music by cellist Benedict Kloeckner combined with one of Rosteck's video works.

An old church building will be the venue for a special artistic event: on January 20, a video work by Corinna Rosteck and live music by cellist Benedict Kloeckner will combine to create a unique art experience. Perfectly coordinated, the music and moving images of the internationally successful artists invite you on a sensual journey into unknown horizons. 2024 OUTSTANDING / CELLO TRIFFT KUNST begins at 7.30 p.m. in the old church in Spay. The event is linked to the Koblenz International Music Festival, which celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2023 and is also providing tickets for CELLO TRIFFT KUNST.

Just a few hours later, on January 21 at 11 a.m., the Kunstverein Mittelrhein will open its solo exhibition Lucent Water. Corinna Rosteck from the Art.Salon artist program will be presenting further (moving) images from her artistic work. She explores the physical properties of water and uses dance performances to translate them into an expression of fragile human desires. To this end, Rosteck works with ensembles and solo dancers. She has made a name for herself both nationally and internationally and has successfully realized several art-in-building projects. Her show Lucent Water can be viewed until March 1 on Wednesdays and Saturdays or by arrangement with the Kunstverein in Koblenz-Ehrenbreitstein.Art.Salon

London, Tate Britain

It was one of the most moving decades in the history of the United Kingdom: the 1980s, characterized by strikes, protests and AIDS. Photographers documented this period and in some cases became political activists themselves through their images. The exhibition The 80s: Photographing Britain opens on November 21 at the Tate Britain in London.
