Art connects...

The exhibition series Art connects... has been running since 1998. Over the course of a year, artists are given a group exhibition and then solo exhibitions. The current edition can be seen from November 2 in the hit-Technopark in Hamburg, with Tanja Thordsen from our artist program.

You can look forward to the vernissage on November 2: The hit-Technopark in Hamburg continues its proven exhibition series Art connects.... The concept has been convincing since 1998: a handful of selected artists present their work for two months in a group exhibition, followed by two-month solo exhibitions until October 2024. This year's artists are Tanja Thordsen, who participates in the Art.Salon artist program, Marlen Schulz, Claudia Mächler, Janus Hochgesand and Kirsten Ladiges. Accompanying Art connects... Color with Imagination will be TapeArt works by Atau Hámos, which will be on display on the building's facade for a year.

The selection of artists for hit Technopark exhibitions encompasses all visual arts media. 2023 is all about acrylic and oil painting on canvas, complemented by Thordsen's pigmented beeswax paintings and Hámos' TapeArt. The hit Technopark aims to exhibit art that pushes boundaries and provides new insights rather than being documentary. In 2012, the organization received the KulturMerkur honorary award, which recognizes exceptional concepts that support contemporary art and culture.Art.Salon

London, Tate Britain

It was one of the most moving decades in the history of the United Kingdom: the 1980s, characterized by strikes, protests and AIDS. Photographers documented this period and in some cases became political activists themselves through their images. The exhibition The 80s: Photographing Britain opens on November 21 at the Tate Britain in London.
