Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of Serge Lifar (1905-1986) by Zinaida Serebriakova was sold in the Russian Art auction at Christies in London in November 2016. The price achieved of GBP 62,500.00 (€ 73,743.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zinaida Serebriakova achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Study Of A Sleeping Girl in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 3,845,000.00 (€ 5,421,401.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of Serge Lifar (1905-1986) von Zinaida Serebriakova wurde im November 2016 in der Auktion Russian Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 62.500,00 (€ 73.743,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zinaida Serebriakova erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Study Of A Sleeping Girl im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.845.000,00 (€ 5.421.401,74).
