Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work One And Thirty: Children (Set Of Six Prints) by Zhuang Hui was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 6,875.00 (€ 4,349.89). Admittedly, works by Zhuang Hui have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 1. The Staff Of The Wanda Shopping Plaza, 1997 2. All Students And Teachers Of The Middle And Primary School, Bei Ye Village, Xinan County, Henan Province, 1996 3. The Entire Staff Of Shuangyuan Energy Source Company, Henan Province, 1997 in September 2007 with an auction result of USD 34,000.00 (€ 23,911.67).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit One And Thirty: Children (Set Of Six Prints) von Zhuang Hui im März 2008 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 6.875,00 (€ 4.349,89) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhuang Hui auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 1.
