Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Utopia No.55 by Zhu Wei was sold in the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2018. It changed hands for a price of HKD 75,000.00 (€ 8,465.07) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhu Wei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ink And Wash Research Lectures Series in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 7,475,000.00 (€ 709,338.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Utopia No.55 von Zhu Wei wurde im November 2018 in der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 75.000,00 (€ 8.465,07) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhu Wei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ink And Wash Research Lectures Series im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 7.475.000,00 (€ 709.338,68).
