Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work China China by Zhu Wei was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2017. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 937,500.00 (€ 110,658.56), 17% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Zhu Wei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ink And Wash Research Lectures Series in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 7,475,000.00 (€ 709,338.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit China China von Zhu Wei wurde im April 2017 in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 937.500,00 (€ 110.658,56) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhu Wei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ink And Wash Research Lectures Series im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 7.475.000,00 (€ 709.338,68).
