Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Teahouse by Zhu Shijie was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Art auction at POLY in Hong Kong in April 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 60,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 72,000.00 (€ 7,708.73) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhu Shijie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Yandang Mountain School in April this year with an auction result of HKD 192,000.00 (€ 196,069.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Teahouse von Zhu Shijie wurde im April 2021 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art bei POLY in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 72.000,00 (€ 7.708,73) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhu Shijie erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Yandang Mountain School im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 192.000,00 (€ 196.069,57).
