Artwork auctioned at four times the upper estimate price
The work Yang Guifei Riding Horse by Zhu Meicun was worth HKD 812,500.00 (€ 87,477.94) to a buyer in November 2017. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 180,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Zhu Meicun have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ladies Embroidering A Hundred Butterflies in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 3,500,000.00 (€ 394,327.42).
Kunstwerk zum Vierfachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Die Arbeit Yang Guifei Riding Horse von Zhu Meicun war einem Käufer im November 2017 HKD 812.500,00 (€ 87.477,94) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 180.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhu Meicun auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ladies Embroidering A Hundred Butterflies im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.500.000,00 (€ 394.327,42).
