In November 2019 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Eight-character Calligraphic Couplet in Clerical Script by Zhu Deyi. The result of HKD 30,000.00 (€ 3,479.44) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zhu Deyi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Plum Blossoms in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 16,509.27).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im November 2019 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Eight-character Calligraphic Couplet in Clerical Script von Zhu Deyi zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 30.000,00 (€ 3.479,44) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhu Deyi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Plum Blossoms im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 16.509,27).
