This artwork by Zhu Daoping achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016. In the The Origo Collection — Contemporary Ink Art auction, the work Delicate Fragrance sold for HKD 300,000.00 (€ 33,799.49) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 120,000.00. This high result makes Delicate Fragrance the most expensive artwork by Zhu Daoping that we have observed at auctions so far.
