Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Auspicious Autumn Mountain & Painting Of A River Bank (Two Works) by Zhu Daoping was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 52,500.00 (€ 5,914.91). Admittedly, works by Zhu Daoping have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Delicate Fragrance in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 300,000.00 (€ 33,799.49).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Auspicious Autumn Mountain & Painting Of A River Bank (Two Works) von Zhu Daoping im April 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 52.500,00 (€ 5.914,91) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhu Daoping auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Delicate Fragrance im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 300.000,00 (€ 33.799,49).
