In July 2020 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings, which included the work Rock, Bamboo And Ducks by Bada Shanren. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 2,000,000.00 (€ 219,126.89), 33% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bada Shanren achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Album Of Natore in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 76,910,000.00 (€ 8,889,373.15).

Im Juli 2020 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rock, Bamboo And Ducks von Bada Shanren zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 2.000.000,00 (€ 219.126,89) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bada Shanren erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Album Of Natore im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 76.910.000,00 (€ 8.889.373,15).
