Auction result well in line with expectations
In April last year Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings, which included the work Pines and Rocks by Bada Shanren. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 800,000.00 – 1,600,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 945,000.00 (€ 114,257.38) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bada Shanren achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Album Of Natore in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 76,910,000.00 (€ 8,889,373.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pines and Rocks von Bada Shanren zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 800.000,00 – 1.600.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 945.000,00 (€ 114.257,38) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bada Shanren erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Album Of Natore im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 76.910.000,00 (€ 8.889.373,15).
