Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Blue and Green Landscape in the style of Zhao Mengfu by Zhu Angzhi was worth USD 12,750.00 (€ 11,493.73) to a buyer in March last year. This price was achieved in the auction The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part IV at Bonhams in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 4,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhu Angzhi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Spring Mountain, which sold at auction in April 2016 for HKD 295,000.00 (€ 33,236.17).
