It achieved a price of HKD 106,200.00 (€ 11,688.56), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 33%. Admittedly, works by Zhou Xun have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mythic Beast in November 2015 with an auction result of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 58,014.58).

Die Arbeit Dragon King Crossing The Sea von Zhou Xun wurde im Oktober 2017 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy II bei POLY in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 106.200,00 (€ 11.688,56) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 33%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhou Xun auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mythic Beast im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 58.014,58).
