This artwork by Zhou Xun achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2005. In the FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY auction, the work Dragon Amongst Clouds sold for HKD 114,000.00 (€ 12,473.28) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zhou Xun have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mythic Beast in November 2015 with an auction result of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 58,014.58).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 90 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhou Xun erzielte im November 2005 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY wurde die Arbeit Dragon Amongst Clouds für HKD 114.000,00 (€ 12.473,28) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhou Xun auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mythic Beast im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 58.014,58).
