Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy in Kaishu by Zhou Mengdie was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April last year. The price achieved of HKD 25,200.00 (€ 3,046.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 15,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zhou Mengdie have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy in Kaishu in April last year with an auction result of HKD 138,600.00 (€ 16,757.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy in Kaishu von Zhou Mengdie wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 25.200,00 (€ 3.046,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 15.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhou Mengdie auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy in Kaishu im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 138.600,00 (€ 16.757,75).
