A top price for Zhou Mengdie - as previously expected
The work Calligraphy in Kaishu by Zhou Mengdie was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April last year. The price achieved of HKD 138,600.00 (€ 16,757.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Calligraphy in Kaishu is the most expensive artwork by Zhou Mengdie that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Calligraphy in Kaishu von Zhou Mengdie kam im April letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 138.600,00 (€ 16.757,75) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 100.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Calligraphy in Kaishu das teuerste Kunstwerk von Zhou Mengdie, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
