Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Figures in Landscapes, 1743 by Zhou Li was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in September this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 1,920.00 (€ 1,814.06). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhou Li achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Figures in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 354,000.00 (€ 38,961.88).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Figures in Landscapes, 1743 von Zhou Li im September diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 1.920,00 (€ 1.814,06) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhou Li erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Figures im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 354.000,00 (€ 38.961,88).
