A top price for Zheng Weiguo
In October 2013 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Literati: Early Ink Masters, which included the work Desert Sunset by Zheng Weiguo. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 137,500.00 (€ 13,048.04), 72% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Desert Sunset the most expensive artwork by Zheng Weiguo that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Oktober 2013 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Literati: Early Ink Masters durch, in der auch die Arbeit Desert Sunset von Zheng Weiguo zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 137.500,00 (€ 13.048,04) und damit 72% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieses hohe Ergebnis macht Desert Sunset zu dem teuersten Kunstwerk von Zheng Weiguo, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
