It achieved a price of HKD 1,386,000.00 (€ 164,547.95), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 73%. Admittedly, works by Zhao Zhiqian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flowers In Classical Style in November 2013 with an auction result of HKD 15,640,000.00 (€ 1,482,845.80).

Die Arbeit Flowers and Rock von Zhao Zhiqian kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 1.386.000,00 (€ 164.547,95) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 73%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhao Zhiqian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flowers In Classical Style im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 15.640.000,00 (€ 1.482.845,80).
