Auction result well in line with expectations
In December this year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Calligraphic Couplet in Clerical Script by Zhao Zhiqian. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 441,000.00 (€ 51,028.75) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhao Zhiqian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers In Classical Style in November 2013 with an auction result of HKD 15,640,000.00 (€ 1,482,845.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphic Couplet in Clerical Script von Zhao Zhiqian zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 441.000,00 (€ 51.028,75) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhao Zhiqian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flowers In Classical Style im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 15.640.000,00 (€ 1.482.845,80).
