Four album leaves mounted as hanging scrolls, ink on paper, each leaf inscribed and signed by the artist, one leaf dated wuchen with one or two artist's seals.
11 3/4 x 8 1/8in (30 x 20.5cm), each leaf (4).

Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March last year Bonhams in New York held the auction The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part V The Online Sale, which included the work Bamboo, Cabbage, Gourd, Chrysanthemum, 1928 by Zhao Yunhe. The »bidding war« ended at USD 4,845.00 (€ 4,367.62), 21% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Zhao Yunhe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Vegetables And Calligraphy in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 259,600.00 (€ 28,572.05).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part V The Online Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bamboo, Cabbage, Gourd, Chrysanthemum, 1928 von Zhao Yunhe zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 4.845,00 (€ 4.367,62) und damit 21% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhao Yunhe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Vegetables And Calligraphy im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 259.600,00 (€ 28.572,05).
