This artwork by Zhao Xun achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in September this year. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Ink landscape, 1585/1645 sold for USD 10,880.00 (€ 10,279.67) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhao Xun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Winter Forest, which sold at auction in May 2017 for HKD 212,400.00 (€ 24,253.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 81 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhao Xun erzielte im September diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Ink landscape, 1585/1645 für USD 10.880,00 (€ 10.279,67) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhao Xun mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Winter Forest beobachtet, die im Mai 2017 für HKD 212.400,00 (€ 24.253,22) versteigert wurde.
