This artwork by Zhao Qi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in September 2015. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction, the work Flowers sold for USD 15,000.00 (€ 13,438.45) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhao Qi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Flowers And Rocks, which sold at auction in March 2015 for USD 50,000.00 (€ 46,550.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhao Qi erzielte im September 2015 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Flowers für USD 15.000,00 (€ 13.438,45) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhao Qi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Flowers And Rocks beobachtet, die im März 2015 für USD 50.000,00 (€ 46.550,60) versteigert wurde.
