This artwork by Zhao Qi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in June 2020. In the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Birds and Flowers sold for HKD 162,500.00 (€ 18,664.86) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhao Qi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Flowers And Rocks, which sold at auction in March 2015 for USD 50,000.00 (€ 46,550.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhao Qi erzielte im Juni 2020 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online wurde die Arbeit Birds and Flowers für HKD 162.500,00 (€ 18.664,86) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhao Qi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Flowers And Rocks beobachtet, die im März 2015 für USD 50.000,00 (€ 46.550,60) versteigert wurde.
